Position Overview:

This position operates under direct supervision, focusing on the development and execution of hospital-specific care plans while preparing necessary equipment for various procedures within the healthcare system.


Key Responsibilities:

Nursing Duties:

Aids the healthcare team by gathering patient histories and medical details to maintain comprehensive documentation in hospital records.

Assists in formulating and executing care strategies as instructed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider to meet the needs of patients receiving treatment.

Ensures adherence to proper techniques and safety protocols in line with organizational policies regarding sterile environments.

Effectively communicates healthcare instructions to patients and their families, ensuring clarity in the care plan.

Responds to emergencies and safety risks by utilizing personal protective equipment and following hospital safety measures to prevent patient injury.

Performs additional duties as reasonably assigned.



Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required:
None; New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Required:
Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
