Water/Wastewater Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing water and wastewater treatment systems, as well as performing calculations and analyses to ensure the safe and efficient operation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform water/wastewater engineering design, including engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of water/wastewater systems and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of water/wastewater systems through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Prepare engineering project documents, client presentations, and client contact and communication.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
  • Prepare water/wastewater engineering documents, including construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and prepare site observation reports.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to successfully obtain within twelve (12) months.
