**Job Description:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Perform all tasks associated with commercial custodial cleaning of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing floors.
• Remove trash and other refuse, and dust equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
• Polish metal fixtures or trimmings, and clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Provide supplies and minor maintenance services for janitorial equipment.
• Perform all assigned work in accordance with training provided and in compliance with corporate, project, and/or contractual guidelines.
• Perform all assigned work in a safe manner and in conformance with company/project safety requirements.
• Perform all assigned work in a manner that meets quality expectations and in compliance with corporate, project, and/or contractual quality guidelines.
• Dry mop and wet mop floors, clean baseboards, corners, and edges, and spot clean walls, doors, windows, etc.
• Vacuum and detail carpet, clean and disinfect restroom commodes, urinals, showers, partitions, floors, and walls.
• Clean and disinfect group/shower locker rooms, including all vertical and horizontal walls and lockers.
• Stock restroom toilet paper, paper towel, seat cover, and soap dispensers, and stock breakrooms with paper towels and hand soap.
• Empty trash cans, collect recyclables, and place them in collection areas.
• Clean water fountains and clean interior and exterior glass.
• Mix chemicals/cleaning fluids as necessary, and observe and report the need for repair of furniture, building, and fixtures.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
**Safety Requirements:**
• Actively participate in the GCR Inc. Occupational Safety and Health Program.
• Perform all assigned work in a safe and reasonable manner that avoids preventable injury and preventable property/equipment damage.
• Immediately report all occupational injuries, unsafe conditions, and/or property damage.
• Use and enforce the wearing of personal protective equipment.
• Always wear a seatbelt while operating/riding in a company vehicle, government vehicle, or a privately-owned vehicle while performing work activities or acting as an agent of GCR Inc.
• Not be unfit for work due to the presence, ingestion, consumption, or inhalation of illegal drugs, prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs, and/or alcohol.
**Machines, Tools, and Equipment Used:**
• Motorized cleaning equipment, buffer, chariot, extractor, pivot, zepher, etc.
• Vacuum cleaners, mops, brushes, brooms, ladders, rags, cleaning, and polishing chemicals.
**Mandatory Requirements:**
• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Two (2) years experience in commercial custodian cleaning.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
• Have a valid driver's license and be a citizen of the United States.
• Successfully obtain and maintain base access clearance.
• Ability to constructively interact with associates, customers, support staff, and management.
• Ability to work a non-traditional work week, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as work demands dictate and/or directed by the Project Manager.
**Preferred Requirements:**
• Experience working on government contracts.
• OSHA 10 certification.
