We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and collect patient data, including physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans with consultation from RNs and other staff as appropriate, while providing patient teaching and care.
- Facilitate tele-psychiatry appointments and work closely with psychiatric prescribers to provide medication, gather patient vitals, and conduct chart reviews for Incompetent to Stand Trial patients.
- Administer medications and implement medical plans within scope of practice, responding to emergencies and following established policies and protocols.
- Ensure competencies are demonstrated in the correctional setting with appropriate supervision, while documenting nursing encounters and communicating information to healthcare personnel.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- One (1) or more years of clinic experience preferred.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (PT) in the state of employment.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Phlebotomy certification strongly preferred.
