PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize advanced dual beam FIB-SEM technology and other apparatus to prepare both standard and innovative samples for S/TEM examination.
  • Capture high-quality imaging, including bright field, dark field, and high-resolution images, along with EDX and diffraction patterns, using samples prepared independently or collaboratively.
  • Focus on the continuous enhancement of sample preparation and analytical methods to achieve superior speed and quality.
  • Work closely with process development engineers to comprehend their requirements and facilitate the integration of analytical techniques to optimize the process development cycle.
  • Compile analytical data, generate technical documentation, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Employ lab management software for sample administration and report generation.
  • Engage with internal clients, supervisors, and colleagues within the laboratory environment.
  • Assess requests critically to determine optimal solutions that meet or surpass expectations and timelines.
  • Support all operations within the Evaluation Lab and fulfill additional management requests.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and comply with all corporate policies, including Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, combined with relevant experience in semiconductor analysis instruments.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Entry-level candidates should possess 0-3 years of experience with FIB, S/TEM, and related equipment for sample preparation and imaging analysis.
  • Senior candidates should have over 15 years of experience in the same fields.
  • Experience with dual beam FIB for semiconductor device processing is essential.
  • Desirable experience includes the use of FIB and/or SEM for semiconductor device analysis.
  • Minimal travel is expected (
