Fleet Manager Job Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to lead a team of technicians and mechanics in Cleveland, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a quality preventative maintenance repair program, ensuring a safe and efficient fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop employees to achieve exceptional results
  • Monitor employee performance and provide support to the operations team
  • Oversee multiple shop operations and plan daily manpower to meet workload
  • Provide administrative support, including payroll approval and compliance documentation
  • Address corrective action and ensure a clean, safe working environment
  • Communicate with clients to meet operational and company needs
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations
  • 5-8 years of direct management experience
  • Prior technician/mechanic experience and high school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance
  • Ability to travel and oversee multiple shop locations
  • Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, company policies, and procedures
