Position Overview:
The Custodial and Inventory Associate is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and organization within the Walapai Market. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including maintaining hygiene standards, managing stock levels, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will be expected to handle cleaning duties, manage janitorial supplies, and assist with inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
- Sanitize and restock restroom facilities regularly.
- Manage waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and replacing liners.
- Assist visitors by answering questions and providing information about the market and its offerings.
- Ensure cleanliness of windows, surfaces, and public areas within the market.
- Organize custodial supplies and equipment in a safe and tidy manner.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following established guidelines.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the surrounding grounds.
- Receive and verify delivered merchandise, ensuring accurate quantities.
- Stock shelves efficiently, adhering to inventory management practices.
- Monitor product labels for clarity and visibility.
- Restock inventory as needed throughout the market.
- Replace any damaged or missing products promptly.
- Collaborate with cashiers and management on inventory control.
- Assist in the merchandising efforts of the market.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Experience or willingness to learn custodial and stocking responsibilities.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and labels.
- Customer service experience is advantageous.
- Preference may be given to Hualapai Tribal members.
This position requires the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings. The associate must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 75 lbs and performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, and bending.
Applicants must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. A pre-employment drug screening and background check may be required. However, preference may be given to individuals of Indian descent in accordance with applicable laws.
