ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing engineering design on a variety of tasks, both independently and with ongoing supervision.
Responsibilities:- Apply technical knowledge to designs and ensure projects meet specifications.
- Share information with the team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand design requirements and nuances.
- Communicate challenges regarding scope, cost, schedule, and quality to Project Managers.
- Work with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages.
- Support the preparation of simple and medium designs or portions of larger projects, including calculations and drawings.
- Lead the development of discipline-specific designs on simple projects and support complex projects, including moderate difficulty technical analyses.
- Understand and apply appropriate industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Identify information to be communicated to clients and project stakeholders through team leads and project managers.
- Conduct communications in a professional and clear manner, with timely and appropriate format for the topic.
- Support team interactions with Clients and vendors, including creation of equipment and material specifications.
- Assist the Design Coordinator in evaluating design personnel and assigning design-related tasks to Designers and Drafters.
- Ensure work products follow established internal and client procedures, including quality control, document control, procurement, and other pertinent policies.
- Self-check work assignments prior to submitting for review and complete work with minimal errors.
- Participate in peer reviews and quality reviews.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferably electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or civil/structural engineering).
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Pipeline and/or facility experience required.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Knowledge of FERC.
- Registration as a EIT or professional engineer.
