Recreational Therapist Position

Job Summary:
Health Advocates Network is seeking a Recreational Therapist to work at a facility in California. These are registry positions with our company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months as a Recreational Therapist and be able to build rapport with patients. The pay rate is $71.00/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs
- Consider medical records
- Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones
- Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most
- Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients
- Document a patient's progress during their activities
- Other duties assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months as a Recreational Therapist
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
