Position Overview: This job posting is intended for future opportunities with Autokiniton as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within our Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The primary responsibility of the LPN is to deliver a comprehensive range of clinical and administrative nursing care under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit fundamental knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Engage in staff meetings and team huddles to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Monitor patients and report any adverse reactions to medications or changes in their physical or mental condition.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and assist during medical emergencies.
- Perform various nursing procedures, including wound care, injections, and venipunctures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and examinations, providing necessary information and support.
- Set up and manage therapeutic and emergency medical equipment.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain universal precautions.
- Document all relevant patient information accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in managing patient appointments in line with healthcare access standards.
- Educate patients and their families on health-related topics and resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to assess patient conditions and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Current and unrestricted nursing license in the relevant state.
- Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support.
Working Conditions:
- Moderate physical activity, including the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
- Must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies as required.
