As a Dental Hygienist at Toothio, your duties will include:

* Conducting initial patient screenings
* Cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque)
* Advising patients on oral health and preventative care
* Helping dentists decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases

Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring patients feel comfortable before their examination
* Sterilizing dental instruments properly
* Conducting initial mouth screenings and checking oral health history
* Identifying conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
* Cleaning and protecting patients' teeth (e.g. removing plaque or applying fluoride)
* Educating patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
* Giving instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
* Taking X-rays or dental impressions
* Assisting dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
* Maintaining documentation and charts on each patient
* Monitoring supplies

Requirements:

* Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
* Dental Hygiene license required
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
* Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
* Outstanding communication skills
* A patient and friendly personality
* Attention to detail
* Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
* Diploma in Dental Hygiene (preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour"}
