Job Overview

The Construction Cost Analyst plays a pivotal role in generating comprehensive and precise cost assessments for each stage of project development. This position collaborates with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to evaluate financial aspects of construction projects. The analyst meticulously reviews construction documents, specifications, proposals, and various other materials to formulate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A four (4) year degree in a relevant field (such as building science, construction management, civil engineering, etc.) is required. Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree or certification.
  • Preferred experience of at least five (5) years in cost estimation.
  • Capability to interpret contracts and engineering and architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proven skills in interpersonal communication, computer proficiency, and effective communication with all project stakeholders, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, iSqFt, SmartBid, and On-Screen Takeoff.
