Obstetric Nurse Specialist in High-Risk Pregnancies

About the RoleThis is a full-time night shift position at Williamson Medical Center, where you will be responsible for managing emotional and medical support to achieve optimal patient well-being. Your duties will include assessment, planning, treatment, and teamwork within a diverse healthcare environment.
Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, focusing on emotional and medical support.
- Assess patients' conditions, identify problems and needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Manage medications and solutions safely, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications, unit duties, and special assignments.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Licensure by the State of Tennessee.
- At least one year of perinatal experience, preferably as a Certified Lactation Consultant.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- NRP certification within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, II, and fetal monitoring certifications within one year of hire.
You will work in a dynamic environment with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine years of age. The physical effort required includes standing/walking for up to twelve hours a day, lifting up to 250 pounds with assistance, and communicating in English verbally and legibly.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
