Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sailing Instructor to join our team at the Marine Corps Community Services. As a Sailing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching sailing skills to authorized adult and youth patrons. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver sailing instruction to adult and youth patrons
  • Procure and organize instructional materials
  • Work directly with the Marina Assistant Manager to coordinate classes and schedules
  • Implement and carry out prepared lesson plans and training
  • Provide documentation of attendance and satisfactory completion of course work
  • Ready boats, life jackets, and other equipment for hands-on training
  • Provide check-out rides to patrons in sailboats
  • Recommend patrons for issuance of a Marine Corps Combat Development Command sailing card
  • Enforce safety regulations and provide instructions on safety to patrons
Requirements
  • One year experience as a sailing instructor or a related field
  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Excellent swimming ability
  • U.S. Sailing Instructor Certification preferred
