Division Chief Opportunity

Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health Physicians are seeking a highly accomplished academic leader to serve as the Division Chief for Pediatric Otolaryngology. This esteemed position offers a unique opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership across the full range of Division service areas, including clinical and administrative service, education, and research.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with six faculty members and seven advanced practice providers to deliver exceptional patient care, advance the field of pediatric otolaryngology, and contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Otolaryngology at IUSM. Key responsibilities include participation in an active pediatric otolaryngology practice, teaching residents and medical students, and engaging in scholarly activities.

As a Division Chief, the candidate will be responsible for setting yearly academic goals, conducting annual reviews, and overseeing research activities, division financial performance, budget development, and financial and division performance reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must have an MD or equivalent degree, be a Board Certified Otolaryngologist, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana. A minimum of 5-10 years of outstanding accomplishments in pediatric otolaryngology, including a long history of publications, funded research grants, and previous supervision of medical, residency, and staff positions, is required. The candidate must also have credentials that merit appointment as Professor or senior level Associate Professor, tenure track, and be fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology. A Doctorate or terminal degree is required.
