Key Responsibilities:
The Apprentice (HVAC or Refrigeration) assists an installation team by executing tasks in a safe, timely, accurate, and professional manner, adhering to customer specifications, relevant building codes, and proper piping practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install equipment according to project specifications and under the guidance of a senior technician:

HVAC:
air handler drains, piping for split systems, overhead duct hangers, and ductwork, etc.

Refrigeration:
display case drains, walk-in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping, etc.
Perform all assigned tasks safely and responsibly.

Utilize power and hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE as directed and required by company policy.

Promptly escalate issues and concerns (safety, quality of work, etc.) to on-site senior technicians or project managers.
Maintain clean and professional job sites/work areas at all times. Properly store, disassemble, or dispose of all spare and waste materials generated on assigned job sites.
Provide assistance and support to senior technicians on-site.
Carry out all responsibilities with integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Installation of various types of piping including PVC, copper (brazing), and copper line sets Qualifications: Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school. 1+ years of experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or other related fields preferred.

Ability to operate a scissor lift or forklift preferred.
Knowledge of job site safety and the ability to perform work following safe practices and regulations.
Proficiency in using basic power and hand tools including drills, fuel gas tools, electrical meters, measurement tools, etc.
Dependability and punctuality are essential.

Ability to work in diverse conditions, including scaling ladders to various heights, outdoor environments in hot/cold temperatures, and noisy settings.

Basic mathematical skills including fractional addition/subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurements.
Effective communication skills to read, write, and convey information clearly and concisely.
Ability to collaborate constructively in a team environment and follow instructions from senior technicians.
Understanding and adherence to all company policies and procedures as well as applicable State and Federal laws.
Good driving record.
