Role Summary

A Nursery Sales Associate at Terrain contributes to driving sales by engaging customers on common interests in home décor and gardening. They uphold Terrain's four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform, and to appreciate our customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Exceed customer expectations by building genuine, long-lasting relationships through personalized attention and actively sharing details to promote Terrain's unique events.
    • Share product knowledge, new arrivals, and current trends to inform the customer and inspire their indoor and outdoor spaces.
    • Deliver a seamless shopping experience through understanding and utilization of systems and applications for an efficient customer interaction.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Contribute to the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others.
    • Actively participate in daily meetings and projects; exhibit strong understanding of home and garden style that is reflective of the Terrain brand.
    • Take initiative and work productively with the team to achieve common, collaborative goals.
  • Visual and Business Operations
    • Uphold visual and operational standards while keeping the focus on the customer; support team members across departments to maintain product standards and inspirational displays.
    • Assist leadership team in receiving and placing new product; support customer in-store, curbside, and local delivery.
    • Adhere to store's safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store.
Requirements
  • Terrain brand fan
  • Experience in customer service
  • Horticulture understanding
  • Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Basic knowledge of home décor trends & gardening
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range

Starting from USD $14.50/Hr.
