The Bag Machine Operator role involves mastering production tasks, including fundamental machine operation and quality assessment, paving the way for career growth and enhanced productivity.

The primary responsibility of the Bag Machine Operator is to operate and uphold the bagging lines in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity benchmarks.

To excel in this position, an individual must effectively fulfill each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for scrap management, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of bagging machines and related equipment based on product specifications and management directives.
  • Receive training for routine machine upkeep and troubleshooting to execute repairs as needed.
  • Provide raw materials to the production area, package finished products, and lift boxes of materials for machine loading.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, reporting any suspect or defective products for appropriate action.
  • Fill in and support other production roles as assigned.
  • Utilize hoisting equipment to push and pull rolls for machine loading.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate labeling of parts.
  • Make tape splices at the bagging machine packing station.
  • Receive training on process and material flow to facilitate the supply of all raw and packaging materials from the warehouse to the machine.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma.

Experience:
Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Specific Skills:
Ability to interpret measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude.
