We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Formulation Chemist to join our Product Development team at John Paul Mitchell Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative hair color, care, and styling formulations that meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with market demands and company goals.
- Drive the pursuit of hair color, care, and styling innovations, leveraging deep industry knowledge and analytical skills.
- Maintain strict compliance with GMP and GLP standards in the lab, championing best practices in every aspect of the formulation process.
- Troubleshoot formula, shade, and raw material issues, finding replacements whenever necessary.
- Work on-site at our Product Innovation Center and new product laboratory, performing all relevant formula-related testing.
- 5+ years' work experience in professional hair color formulation required.
- 7+ years' work experience in professional hair color formulation strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in science (i.e. chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, chemical engineering or related science) required.
- Competitive base salary range: $100,000 to $120,000.
- Discretionary bonus plan based on personal performance and company results.
