Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. As a dedicated solo driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight across the western United States, with a focus on regional routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards on the road
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Loading and unloading freight, or assisting in the loading/unloading process as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test and background check
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL with the necessary endorsements
  • Have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions, as well as read and interpret laws, regulations, and policies
