The Nurse Residency Unit at Piedmont Athens Regional is a 20-bed unit dedicated to onboarding new graduate nurses into the Med/Surg Nurse Residency Program. Our unit serves as a safe learning environment for new nurses to develop their clinical skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced preceptors.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Function within the framework of the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
