Key Responsibilities
- Generate and review 2D and 3D electrical schematics for installation in collaboration with various subcontractors.
- Engage in coordination discussions to address design conflicts while adhering to budget constraints and compliance with NEC standards.
- Create detailed shop drawings, including cross-sections for underground conduits and cables, to guide fabrication and installation teams.
- Draft documentation to seek clarifications on original designs through Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage follow-up responses.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, including floor plans and elevations.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve issues and effectively communicate design details to construction teams.
- Travel to various project locations as necessary to oversee implementation.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a BIM-related position.
- Proficient in Autodesk, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360 Glue, BIM Collaborate, or similar model viewing and collaboration tools is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledgeable in 3D coordination techniques.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Performance Expectations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and quality of drawings produced.
Work Environment
The role requires regular walking, standing, and sitting, along with the use of hands for handling tools and computer equipment. Employees may need to lift up to thirty (30) pounds and will be exposed to various environmental conditions while commuting to job sites.
