The Overnight Closer / Custodian (Member Services Representative) plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming environment for all members, prospective members, and guests by delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm greeting to members and guests, ensuring exceptional service at all times.
- Manage front desk operations, including:
- Answering phone inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Checking members into the system and assisting with new member registrations.
- Conducting facility tours for potential members.
- Updating member accounts as necessary.
- Address member inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating issues to management when required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including:
- Thoroughly sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floors.
- Restocking locker rooms with necessary supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues or missing equipment to the Club Manager.
- Adhere to the Lost and Found Policy by promptly turning in any found items.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- A genuine interest in fitness and health is essential.
- Must possess a positive and energetic attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are critical.
- Ability to work overnight shifts is required.
- Strong work ethic and honesty are paramount.
- Capable of independent problem-solving.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing and walking during shifts.
- Frequent communication in person and via phone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally over 80 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.
- Regular reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
