Job Summary:

As a Technical Analyst Intern at Red Hat, you will play a key role in applying data management and analysis techniques to quantify the health and sustainability of open source software communities. You will collaborate with open source community builders to provide timely reports of upstream activities to Red Hat stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a system/toolset where an experimental-model analysis can be run on changes made within an open source community
  • Support development of machine learning, data mining, and statistical techniques and algorithms to create new, scalable solutions to address community problems
  • Collaborate with community leaders to apply results to actionable items
  • Translate key findings into visualized presentations
  • Network with other talented interns in an inclusive and diverse workplace

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Basic knowledge and willingness to use Python, Git or similar programming language
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills, and familiarity with data science concepts
  • Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
  • Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team
