Key Responsibilities- Pool Safety and Surveillance: Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Emergency Response and Rescue: Participate in emergency response and rescue procedures, including CPR and first aid.
- Pool Operations and Maintenance: Assist with pool opening and closing procedures, inspect pool equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Customer Service and Communication: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and management.
- Training and Development: Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Education and Experience: One or more years of lifeguarding experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid from the American Red Cross.
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to swim 300 yards continuously, perform swimming rescues, and meet other physical and mental demands of the job.
The work environment is quiet to moderate, with frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects. The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond promptly to emergencies.
