Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome opioid addiction and achieve long-term recovery. Responsibilities: * Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients in managing crisis situations and developing coping strategies * Coordinate patient care and present patient status and concerns to the treatment team * Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans in accordance with State regulatory requirements * Provide clinical services, patient care, and education on opiate addiction counseling * Maintain accurate documentation and computer skills Qualifications: * Master's Degree or higher in a field such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or nursing with clinical specialization * Bachelor's Degree in a specified field with 1 year of clinical experience or Associate Degree with 2 years of clinical experience * Full certification as an addictions counselor from a statewide certification body or certification by another state government's substance abuse counseling certification board * Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patients * Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records) * Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check Benefits: * Competitive salary * Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(K) * Generous paid time off and paid holidays * Excellent growth and development opportunities through our counselor career path COVID-19 Considerations: Everyone will be asked to comply with the most recent COVID guidelines from CDC, State, County, and City.
