Job Title: Operating Room Nurse (RN) - Part Time
Job Summary:
AtlantiCare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care by assessing patient status and considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural factors, developing patient care plans, and implementing clinical nursing interventions consistent with the plan.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Assist the interdisciplinary team in pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Proficiently operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring their proper functioning during procedures.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and concisely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
- May be required to perform limited laboratory services.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to other members of the patient care team.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Nurses hired without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year and completion within 3 years.
- Current New Jersey RN license or current multi-state license required.
- BLS required.
- Proficiency in clinical applications preferred.
- Operating room experience required.
