Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Lead Application Security Architect to steer the strategic vision, formulate standards, guidelines, and policies for our application security initiatives. You will spearhead efforts to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from the outset. Your role will involve establishing a cohesive set of security requirements and aligning policies with external regulatory standards. Join us to enhance your security expertise at scale and ensure Autodesk remains ahead of emerging threats.

You will report to a Senior Manager of Application Security Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and define our application security strategies, standards, policies, and roadmaps while championing their execution.
  • Guide product teams and stakeholders in embedding security within the SDLC.
  • Assess the threat landscape through architectural evaluations, secure code assessments, and threat modeling.
  • Investigate new and emerging technologies to identify security solutions that address gaps or enhance security capabilities.
  • Analyze outputs from SAST, DAST, and SCA tools, providing constructive feedback on findings.
  • Establish security metrics and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the application security program.
  • Support the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) with vulnerability report analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Assist in the development of security training and workshops for application teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of experience in application security, including web and desktop applications, along with secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks, such as OWASP Top Ten, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SSDF, and SLSA.
  • Proficiency in threat modeling methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificates, and cryptographic principles.
  • Knowledge of Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools and methodologies.
  • Proficient in at least one common programming language, such as Python, Golang, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, or similar technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience collaborating with distributed teams and partners.

Salary Transparency

Our competitive compensation package includes a starting base salary range for U.S.-based roles between $138,100 and $223,300, with offers reflecting the candidate's experience and location. In addition to base salaries, we emphasize annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a robust benefits package.
