Job Summary

Mission Veterinary Partners is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Patient Care Team. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to our patients and delivering outstanding customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision and direction of a DVM, including handling and care, client communication, and education.
  • Client Communication: Maintain excellent client communication, including answering client inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures.
  • Medical Records: Record all pertinent medical, client, and case-related information in the patient record accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide guidance to support staff, mentor team members for career advancement, and contribute to 360-degree employee performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Must be a licensed veterinary technician with proficiency in a variety of skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, handle a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Clinical Skills: Ability to give SQ, IM, and IV injections, knowledge of prescription drugs, and ability to explain them to clients.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with the support staff, mentor team members, and contribute to team goals.
