Job SummaryThe Collision Repair and Refinish Technician position involves preparing the body and components for painting, ensuring excellent results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare work by studying work orders, bills of materials, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Responsible for sanding, masking, and prepping bodies and parts before paintwork begins and completes.
- Apply bondo/seam sealer and prepare for final finishing and sanding to achieve a flawless finish.
- Wet sand and polish custom-colored bodies and doors to meet our high standards.
- Dispose of hazardous waste from the painting process in accordance with federal and state laws, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, prioritizing employee well-being and workplace safety.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs by suggesting ideas and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control.
- Frequent mobility, sitting, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, requiring strength and stamina.
- Working in non-ventilated or air-conditioned areas, necessitating attention to personal protective equipment (PPE) and comfort measures.
- Eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery, demonstrating manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- A full range of body motion, including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.
- Ability to communicate verbally, providing feedback in a professional manner, and understanding vague instructions.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and regional cost of living factors.
