MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, achieving high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
- Screen patients and staff entering zone 3 and 4 to ensure magnet safety, adhering to Prisma Health's values of Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
- Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high-quality imaging studies, and ensuring timely completion and accurate charging.
- Identify patients using two patient identifiers, communicate with patients and medical staff regarding MR safety questionnaires, and obtain completed questionnaires to ensure magnet safety.
- Prepare scan rooms for procedures, discarding sharps, and maintaining supplies and linen.
- Administer contrast materials associated with MRI procedures, within scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or approved Radiology protocol.
- Implement emergency procedures as needed, staying abreast of organizational, affiliate, and departmental changes.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, preparing staff schedules to ensure proper department staffing and coordinating daily workflow.
- ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI, OR AART registered in MRI, OR ARMRIT certification.
- BLS certification.
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, and proficient computer skills (database).
