Freight Handler

Southeast Unloading is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team in the warehouse environment. This role involves ensuring efficient and safe unloading of trucks, sorting and stacking products.

About the Role: As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for operating a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in the unloading process, removing product from trucks safely and efficiently, and coordinating with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper flow of inbound product.

Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks, sort, and stack products efficiently and safely
• Ensure all safety standards, procedures, and processes are followed during the unloading process
• Coordinate with receivers and tow motor operators to optimize the flow of inbound product
• Hand-stack all floor loads in an appropriate manner with correct labels, ti-his, and no mixed product
• Regularly inspect product loads to ensure they are properly handled to minimize damage
• Submit paperwork correctly and timely

Requirements:

• Physically fit to stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and move continuously
• Frequent walking and reaching above shoulder level to lift or move objects weighing 30-50 pounds and occasionally 50-100 pounds
• Push and pull objects frequently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enduring extreme temperatures
• 20/20 Vision with correction and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Bachelor's degree not required; basic English reading, writing, and mathematical skills essential
• Reliable transportation necessary

Estimated Salary: $16-$19 per hour based on production-based pay
