Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Assessment and Intervention Specialist

Job Summary:

The Center for Children with Special Needs is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Evaluation team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Provide comprehensive assessments of cognition, adaptive functioning, social skills, executive functioning, and potentially academic skills with individuals aged 1 year through adult with neurodiverse profiles.
  • School-Based Observations: Conduct school-based observations of students with special needs to inform assessment and intervention planning.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans based on comprehensive assessment and observation findings.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present written psychological assessment reports detailing evaluation findings and resulting recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to present results from evaluations conducted and collaborate with internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Be a Licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in good standing with the State of Connecticut.
  • Experience: Have experience in providing comprehensive and diagnostic assessments for individuals with ASD and other learning needs for at least 2 years.
  • Skills: Possess strong written and oral communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Teamwork: Be willing to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team of BCBAs, psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists.
