Surg Job Description:

  • Work with adult and neonatal patients, with occasional pediatric involvement for emergency department stabilization and transfer.
  • Cover various areas including Inpatient Med Surg, Emergency Room, ICU/PCU, PACU, pre-op, and NICU. Responsibilities may include bedside or operating room bronchoscopy.
  • Use equipment from brands such as Draeger, Avea, Hamilton vents, V60 Bipap, Airvo Hi Flow, and Volaira for CPEP.
  • Participate in team scheduling for shifts from or Meet weekend and holiday requirements, working every other of each.
  • Required to float to all areas within the hospital.
  • Undergo unit/department-specific orientation with two 12-hour shifts.
  • Chart patient information using the EPIC system.
  • Exhibit attributes such as dependability, hard work, patient-centered approach, initiative, efficiency, and a positive outlook. Please note that a 50-mile radius rule applies.
