Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team as an Early Childhood Specialist. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the communication needs of our students are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with identified speech or language disorders, working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective implementation.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote communication development and fluency.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, participating in regular meetings and professional development activities to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in the field.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Minnesota state license in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working with young children with a variety of speech and language disorders, demonstrating a passion for early childhood education and communication development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), reflecting advanced expertise and dedication to the profession.
  • Experience with assistive technology and augmentative communication devices, enhancing your ability to provide innovative and effective support for students with complex communication needs.
