Position Overview
As a Meat Craft Trainee at Whole Foods Market, immerse yourself in a time-honored trade: the art of meat preparation. This program combines practical experience with academic learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the mentorship of a seasoned Butcher:
    • Engage in Butcher tasks, including but not limited to: cutting, plating, and merchandising meat products to optimize profit margins; preparing specialty meat offerings; verifying product quality to meet WFM standards; maintaining sampling programs; maximizing sales opportunities; monitoring and assisting in spoilage prevention.
    • Deliver outstanding customer service, promptly addressing customer inquiries, modeling suggestive selling techniques, and responding to phone calls and pages courteously.
    • Adhere to established procedures, ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
    • Arrive at the workstation punctually, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; fulfill all scheduled shifts and participate in required training and meetings.
    • Execute opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signage and pricing.

The compensation for this position is $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market provides "Whole Benefits," which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for Whole Benefits is determined based on the terms of the applicable Whole Benefits plan at the time of hire.
