Journeyman Electrician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at PCL Industrial Services, Inc. in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Job Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks, including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures
  • Replace conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed
  • Install conductors, terminate (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC's, instruments, and junction boxes)
  • Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings
  • Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes

Requirements:

  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Training: Completion of an apprenticeship program, which includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rugged terrain and construction sites.
