Role Overview:

As a Golf Pro Shop Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for our members and guests. We prioritize professionalism, respect, honesty, and teamwork, recognizing that our service professionals are integral to our success. We are dedicated to fostering a rewarding work environment complemented by competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist members and guests in selecting appropriate merchandise.
  • Organize and arrange golf shop inventory effectively.
  • Collaborate with golf professionals to refresh retail displays regularly.
  • Support the management of stock levels in the golf shop.
  • Schedule tee times in accordance with club policies.
  • Stay informed to assist golfers during check-in.
  • Manage incoming calls at the golf shop.
  • Facilitate the check-in process for golfers and collect fees.
  • Operate the cash register accurately.
  • Prepare gift wrapping for customers.
  • Keep abreast of upcoming events, including golf tournaments.
  • Assist in organizing special events in collaboration with golf professionals and tournament coordinators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized golf shop environment.
  • Support Golf Professionals in their daily operations.
  • Set up and manage the coffee station on a daily basis.
  • Maintain regular communication with the shop for updates.

Qualifications:
  • Previous retail experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to engage with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Familiarity with golf is a plus.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Flexible availability as Golf Operations run 6-7 days a week, with occasional overtime.
  • Adherence to safety and training protocols in all job tasks.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns or hazards to management.
  • Inform management of any work-related injuries.
  • Prioritize safety measures daily.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to move around various areas on campus using approved methods.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
