The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional mechanical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong dedication to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance on heavy machinery to guarantee peak performance.
- Identify and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions promptly.
- Perform inspections to detect potential issues and suggest preventive actions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to plan and carry out maintenance tasks effectively.
- Maintain precise records of maintenance and repair work.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and equipment supplies.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures to reduce downtime.
- Offer training and support to junior technicians or maintenance personnel.
- Engage with external suppliers for specialized repairs or component replacements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician, ideally in an industrial or recycling environment.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is advantageous.
- Physical endurance and dexterity to perform tasks in an industrial setting.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
This role involves working in an industrial facility, which may expose the technician to various environmental factors such as noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures.
