Caregiver Position Available

TUA's Human Services is hiring for DSP's in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties. We are seeking a Companion Care Coordinator to join our team and provide essential support services to individuals requiring personal care assistance.

About the Job

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with clients and their families, providing companionship and support in everyday activities. As a Companion Care Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including transfers and exercises
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) preferred
  • Previous experience in caregiving roles an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Working Conditions

The role may involve exposure to various health conditions and environments, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to handle stressful situations and respond to emergencies calmly.
