Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Breakfast Host to join our team at Embassy Suites Knoxville. As a Breakfast Host, you will be responsible for ensuring the breakfast area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with a variety of food and beverage options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain the breakfast bar in an attractive and abundant presentation.
  • Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
  • Order or purchase food supplies as needed.
  • Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
  • Set up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and other products.
  • Set out and arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
  • Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
  • Wipe up spills.
  • Remove trash.
  • Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
  • Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
  • Mop floors.
  • Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
  • Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces.
  • Inspect areas for safety hazards and report maintenance problems to your supervisor.
  • Provide excellent guest service.
  • Wear proper clothing based on company policy and brand standard, including non-slip shoes.

Requirements

  • One year of hostess experience in a restaurant is required.
  • Prior hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Knowledge of health department standards of food sanitation and safety practices is required.
