Job Summary

The IT Manager will oversee the IT Department, responsible for the company network, IT infrastructure, hardware, and software for required business services, as well as IT support for all company users. This is a Hybrid position, with a mix of on-site and remote work schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with experience in network administration, hardware and software systems, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks.
Run regular checks on network and data security.
Identify and act on opportunities to improve, maintain, and update software, network, and hardware systems.
Develop and implement IT policies related to network security, disaster recovery, IT infrastructure, and best practice guides for the organization.
Design training programs and workshops for company employees.
Conduct regular system audits.
Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance.
Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap.
Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company.
Run and share regular operation system reports with senior executives.
Manage, oversee, and determine timeframes for major IT projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
Manage and report on the allocation of IT budget.
Provide direction for IT team members.
Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement.
Troubleshoot issues with network hardware equipment and peripherals, such as servers, switches, firewalls, NAS, copiers, phone systems, etc. as issues arise.
Work with the corporate IT department in Japan as needed to resolve, upgrade, or implement new technologies as needed.
Set up and distribute user devices, such as PCs, tablets, smartphones, VoIP phones, and keep a detailed inventory of these devices.
Provide help desk support to end-users for hardware and software-related issues.
Update or create procedures for related tasks.
Coordinate and assist in performing end-user device updates.
Ability to research solutions for network or end-user issues.
Recognize problems beyond the scope of ability and seek help from appropriate staff (internal or external) or his/her supervisor in a timely manner.
Ability to work after normal business hours, weekends, or travel may be required occasionally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems.
Experience with network administration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment while meeting deadlines.
Effectively manage multiple items/issues/requests and be able to prioritize those, following up as needed to insure timely and successful completion.
Be self-motivated and creative with exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through skills are a must.
Proficiency with Windows and iOS operating systems.
Proficiency with O365 applications.
Experience with AD, Azure, SharePoint (site development), Windows Server, Networking a plus. Ability and willingness to learn new skills.

Build and maintain close relationships with all Hirose personnel, business partners, and customers in order to provide the best service possible and to ensure company objectives are achieved.
Create and support a collaborative team environment at all levels within the company.
As needed, organize and guide action teams to address issues that may have a substantial impact on business operations and company objectives.
Ability to work independently or as part of an action team.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism under tense situations.
