Physical Therapy Assistant

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Fullerton, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support our physical therapy team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to develop and implement treatment plans, conduct patient assessments, and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:- Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with various physical therapy needs.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and documenting patient information.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on physical therapy techniques, exercises, and home programs.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of physical therapy equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
- One (1) year of leadership experience preferred.
- BSN or bachelor's degree in a relevant field required or completion of a relevant bachelor's degree within two (2) years of hire.
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
