Reliance Home Health Caregivers is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Trainer for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and providing medical, health, and safety needs of clients in host family residencies. This includes providing training and authorization for non-licensed staff, documenting client-specific medical needs, and monitoring medication regimes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical training and authorization for non-licensed staff
- Document client-specific medical needs and interventions
- Monitor medication regimes and medication records
- Conduct caregiver and staff medication training
- Respond to telephone calls, emails, and messages 24/7
Requirements:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Certified in CPR
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with 1 year working with developmental disabilities
- Ability to obtain DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate within three months of employment
