Position: Assembler

Location: Clearwater, FL

Shift: 4/10, 1st shift

Eligibility: US Citizens Only

Role Summary:

The Assembler will be responsible for the rework of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Rework SMT components with precision.
  2. Implement modifications according to Engineering Change Orders.
  3. Conduct inspections of assemblies to meet IPC-A-610 quality benchmarks.
  4. Identify and rectify common component and soldering defects, ensuring proper use of flux and PCB cleaning methods.
  5. Modify and repair products following established documentation and procedures.
  6. Perform detailed work on component boards, utilizing fine-pitch soldering techniques.
  7. Utilize Bill of Material (BOM), Engineering Change Orders, and process work orders to maintain accuracy and quality.
  8. Remove and replace various components, including PTH and SMT types.
  9. Follow standard work documentation, utilizing diagrams and written/verbal instructions.
  10. Ensure high-quality workmanship and product integrity.
  11. Manage multiple assignments while recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
  12. Maintain regular attendance to support workflow quality.
  13. Perform additional duties as required to ensure product verification and quality assurance.

Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with supervisors and team members.

Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required, with a willingness to learn additional software tools.

Assembly and Inspection: The candidate must demonstrate the ability to assemble and inspect products, applying IPC-A-610 quality standards with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Initiative: Self-motivation and teamwork are crucial in a continuous improvement setting.

Technical Skills: Experience in removing and replacing various electronic components is necessary, along with familiarity with SMT fine pitch components and defect identification.
