At ABM Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Building Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time role operating and maintaining equipment associated with electrical and mechanical operations, ensuring the safe and proper operation of life safety equipment for a 2nd shift schedule.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting electrical problems and restoring power when failures occur.
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of life safety equipment and minor plumbing.
  • Respond to customer requests, submit and close work orders, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform all work using the proper personnel protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform all applicable safety policies, procedures, and practices in strict accordance.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
  • Can work independently and consistently achieve results.
  • Communicate effectively, writing and verbally, with clients and peers.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. of equipment; work on platforms, ladders, and under a raised floor.
