Pharmacy Technician

In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Customer Experience:
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
Operations:
Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Review and comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct. Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, and checking for possible interactions.
Training & Personal Development:
Earn and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Otherwise, earn PTCB or ExCPT certification as a condition of promotion to senior technician. Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager and acquire continuing education credits. Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.
