ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for a position within the Air Force, candidates must fulfill various criteria pertaining to their background, overall health, and other standards established by the Air Force, the Department of Defense, and federal regulations.
Minimum Educational Requirement
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Key Qualifications
- Completion of a residency program in family medicine or board certification from the American Board of Family Practice or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialties.
- Successful completion of the Officer Training School course.
- Ages must be between 18 and not exceed 48 years.
