MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Manager to provide leadership and direction to assigned operating personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the division business plan in our fast-paced transit business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations.
  • Ensure division goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a positive employee and labor relations.
  • Directly oversee operations department managers.
  • Train and mentor a future successor for backfill.
  • Successfully manage the Operations Department annual budget.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Certifications according to local contract as required.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Experience in development of runs, shift bids, and run cuts.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong supervision skills with ability to lead others to success.
