Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Pediatric team at Gundersen Health System. As a key member of our dental services team, you will provide exceptional oral health care and education to our young patients, instilling good habits and promoting a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide thorough dental prophylaxis procedures, including scaling, root planning, polishing, fluoride application, and sealant application.
Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of nutrition for optimal health.
Evaluate and record patient health history, dental charting, and oral analysis, including blood pressure monitoring.
Expose, process, and interpret dental x-rays.
Maintain proficiency in the Dental Specialties competency assessment checklist.
Perform recall appointments according to the dentist's prescribed treatment plan.

Requirements:

Associate degree in Dental Hygiene.
1 year of experience in a dental office setting, with a desire for 1 year of experience in a dental specialty practice or healthcare clinic.
Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Wisconsin and Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification.
